Datafam Card Exchange

In 2020 Michelle Frayman and I started the Datafam Card Exchange as a way to bring together the community in a year where we were forced apart. The pandemic uprooted our sense of normalcy and comfort and we wanted to end the year on a high note and remind people of the great support system we’ve all built together.

We’ve kept it up in the years since with this being our fourth in a row. A lot has changed, the community and product have grown, but one thing we can always come back to is how wonderful the people are and how great it is to hear from them.

Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are new to the datafam, sign up to be part of the fun!

How Does It Work

  1. Sign up using this form by the end of the month (11/30)

  2. Get an email with the name and address of the person you’ll be sending a card to in the beginning of December (12/4)

  3. Send your card out! Get as creative as you’d like last year people sent wonderful things from homemade cards to small gifts. But no pressure, a regular card will do as well :)

That’s all there is to it. The person who you will be sending a card to may not be the person you’re receiving one from so this is a great opportunity to make TWO new friends in the community or to let an old one know how much you appreciate them. We politely request that you make the cards as holiday-agnostic as possible unless the person specified that they celebrate it in order to be respectful of each other.

We’ve had over a hundred people participate over the years and look forward to watching this grow.

Bonus

This year I plan on sending a homemade card to everyone who signs up! I’ll be sending a physical card to those in the U.S. and a digital card to my international friends. That means if you sign up you have the opportunity to get two cards this year :)
